Novalar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. chose Microsoft Dynamics GP and Dynamics CRM for their ERP and CRM solutions to help manage production and distribution of their dental products.
Novalar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was a specialty pharmaceutical company devoted to the development of oral pharmaceutical products, with a particular focus on dental products. Their product, OraVerse (phentolamine mesylate), uses a vasoconstrictor to reverse the
effects of the local anesthetic applied by the dentist, accelerating the return of normal sensation and function of the mouth
Novalar sold OraVerse directly to dental offices located throughout the country. Novalar selected Tridea Partners to assist them in the implementation of both an ERP system and a CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics GP and Dynamics CRM) that together would help them to manage the production and distribution of their products, as well as streamline the communication with their customers and the processing of sales orders. These systems were considered critical to supporting the commercial launch of OraVerse.
Challenges
Fast and accurate processing of a high volume of customer sales orders was one of the key concerns expressed by the management team. This meant finding efficient ways to addressthe challenges of: 1) meeting FDA regulations for dispensing pharmaceutical products to dentists; 2) communicating with a 3rd party warehousing and logistics partner for the timely fulfillment of orders; and 3) insuring the proper application of a dynamic schedule of marketing and sales promotions.
